Hi All,

Requirement is

To transfer the stock from WM managed storage location to WM managed storage location. The plants under two different company codes.

Once the stock transfer is done stock should be lied in the same bin of the destination storage type bin.

is there any standard procedure to achieve the requirement.

Thanks advance for your support.

Hi,

in my opinion the best thing to do is:

transfer the stock and post the GR in the new warehouse. All the stock will be posted to the interim storage type (902 tipically) and then run an LSMW (by recording the LT01) and trasnfer the stock from the interim storage area (902) to the destination bins (taken from the current situation)

Sastry,

1. Do you have the same warehouse for both Plants?

2. Do you want to keep the material at same bin and transfer the ownership?

If yes, you can do a transfer posting on MIGO with movement type 301

Hi Binu,

1.Warehouse numbers are different for the plants. The master data will be maintained same in both warehouses.

2.now stock needs to be transferred from the bins of first ware house to the same bins of other warehouse.

The situation is not really clear.

Is it one physical building that you have setup as 2 different warehouses because you have 2 plants in different companies?

Or is really physically 2 building apart from each other? If that is case, why should it be stored in the same bin?

How will you ever make sure that the bin used in warehouse A is empty in warehouse B?

This question is even relevant in case it is one physical building. Because then you cannot use any bin determination strategy in one of both warehouses, because those standard strategies would just want to putaway the stock into the next empty bin, and they will not check if this bin is occupied in the other warehouse

Hi Jurgen,

your understanding is correct. This process is merging of the plant under one company code to another company code. The original plant will be obseleted. It is only one physical building.Stock needs to be placed in the same storage bins of new warehouse number. is there any way to achieve this in a standard way...
