Hello all ,

I was trying to create a simple webdynpro application but when i double on the first_view tab , its open by it shows '

Unknown Host

---

  Description: Unable to locate the server named "xxxxx-ecc-xxxxxxconsulting.com" --- the server does not have a DNS entry. Perhaps there is a misspelling in the server name, or the server no longer exists. Double-check the name and try again.

'

and doesn't show the layout where i need to create the label and fields. Can anyone pls explain me what the prob here ??

Hi Nitin,

The problem is due to wrong entry in the DNS.

You have to maintain the system IP and URL.

1. Enter the system IP and Server name in the host file.

In Windows System, Start -> RUN->DRIVERS->etc->Hosts

Open the file in notepad and add your Log on IP of the system and the URL.

You can get the IP of the system from the log on pad and the URL from SE80 for the application.

Please refer below screen shot.

In the URL, enter the values xxx.xxxx.xxxx.com (original format is http:// xxx.xxxx.xxxx.com: 8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/z000)

Hi Nitin,

Your Basis team (if you have one) needs to set some configuration to enable Web Dynpro in your system.

Nitin, there is some configuration problem, you need to configure Web dynpro addons. Catch some basis person to help you in this. or search on Google by " how to configure web dynpro in sap "..
