NWDS with SAP PI 7.3

hello everybody,

I'm starting a new project with SAP PI 7.31.

I would like try to work using NWDS instead of classic Integration Builder environement.

I connect my NWDS 7.3 with PI but in Interprise Service view i can see and create just DataType, Message Type and Service Interface.

I read this blog and i saw it's possible create also mapping.

I installed last release of NWDS and something is working.

But now i have 2 problems:

1- i cannot modify the old Design Objects (Data Type, Mapping, created before with old IDE).

2- when i try to connect me to Integration Builder i have the following error: "SAP Process Integration Designer is supported for AEX usage type  from release 7.31 onwards".

but i'm working with PI > 7.31

Did you check in Administrator for lock object try to remove that

yes, this is not the solution.

when i try to modify the object from ESR i have no problem.

The objects are locked only when i try to open in NWDS

Do you have single stack PI 7.31 or dual?

Hi Alessandro,

I think Process Integration Designer perspective in NWDS is supported only by 7.31 Java installations(AEX) of PI/PO

Hi Alessandro,

There is a known problem like yours depending of your NWDS version, Try to install at least NWDS 7.3 EHP1 SP06.
