SRM 7.0

We are implementing SRM7.0 with only the Contracts Managements
(Central Contracts) and SUS part and I need some guidance on the following:

1. Our contract alerts is based on pre-defined business rules
and business wants to be notified when the contract has reached 55% of the
target value, 6 months before it expires and 3 months before the contract
expires. These alerts must then be sent to different groups of users. I have
tried to use the SRM configuration path (Enter Alert Threshold data for
Contracts), but one can only define one condition (example 55% of header and
100 days). When trying to configure another alert, an error is given that only
one alert can be configured. I just want confirmation that I cannot configure
multiple alerts with the SRM configuration path and that Badi “Alerts/Messages
and Events in SRM Alert Management” must be implemented.

2. Do I need to create an organizational structure if the
contracts are not subject to release strategies?

3. On the function “Activate grouping logic for locations in
Central Contracts”, I just need some clarification. We have one purchasing
organization with multiple plants and in some instances a contract is created
only with the purchasing organization (which means the contract is relevant for
all plants) and sometimes a contract is created for the purchasing organization
and a plant (which means the contract is valid only for that plant). If we want
one contract in the Backend system (ECC), my thoughts is that the ‘Activate
grouping logic for locations in Central Contracts” function must be
de-activated. Could somebody please just confirm this for me?

Hi Marinda,

You can achieve multiple type of alerts by implementing BADI BBP_ALERTING.

Still you need automatic approval workflow, even though contracts are not required to release.
