Connecting R3 and GIS systems via XI

Has anyone got any info about connecting a GIS system to PM in R3?

Hi Tomer

if the R/3 system is at least 4.6C you can make use of the GIS Business Connector GBC (it has nothing to do with the SAP Business Connector). The GBC is a middleware provided by SAP to link R/3 and GIS (or in general object oriented systems).

Does the SAP GBC still exist? I see it referenced on ESRI's website but I can't seem to find many details about it.
