Hello experts,
I want to know if it is possible to have multivariate forecast planning in SAP SPP tool???..Similar to what we have in Demand Planning module.
Ex - Multiple Regression forecasting.
Hi Mahendra,
SPP supports simple linear regression only and but not multiple linear regression.
Thanks,
Rajesh

Well, the BAdI that you're talking about is common to both APO-DP and SPP at a high level. It allows you to integrate 3rd party statistical forecast generation packages. In a nutshell, you pass on the planning relevant data and sales history to the 3rd party package and receive the generated forecast through this BAdI.
From usage point of view, MLR comes under causal analysis which will be useful at macro level. For any such requirements, SPP comes with leading indicators. You can try them instead of MLR.
However, if your business requirement needs MLR, you can think of using APO-DP rather and transfer the data between DP and SPP.
Thanks,
Rajesh
