The SAP license is dependent on the processor (CPU) of the message server, so your move to another server means no valid license.

You should be able to log into NWA for about 30 minutes after startup before it locks up on you.  Use that time to go and find the new hardware key under Configuration --> Infrastructure --> Licenses and apply for a new license key from SAP's web site.  Once you get the license file in the e-mail, you can install it in the same place.  If you run out of time, just restart the system, and you will get another 30 minutes.

You get a temporary license for your installation hardware during the installation.  So you never installed a permanent license for the old hardware?  In that case I think you need to go back to the initial hardware and get a permanent license key for that one before moving to the new hardware.  Once the system finds that it had a valid (permanent) license key before, UME should be able to start and you can then get the new license key.

Hi Sreeni,

Please check the dev_w0 log file and if you find a

error - could not load SSF library Drive:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS00\exe\sapcrypto.dll

Paste the SAPCrypto.dll file to that location and restart the instance, it will work

Hi,

If its a license issue System should be up for 30 mins if its a license issue.  Please apply for new license for this system .

With in this 30 mins you should be able to install the new license in NWA.

Please post the std_server.out log in the /usr/sap/SID/J*/work

Thanks

Hi,

Please try to telnet <ip> <3200>. Make all host entry in /etc/host and reboot and check. Also check with your network security team for NAT policy set in firewall & also symantec.

Hello Sreeni,

You can start the java system  for 30 mins and apply the license based on the hardware key of the message server.

Can you please check below and see if that helps

Hi Sreeni,

From the error log:-

2150=Core service start fails on initial startup.

Error                                                                                          Description                              Possible Actions

JCO_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE

Authorization failures during the logon phase usually caused by unknown username, wrong password, invalid certificates, etc.

Get the logon data from the JAVA application or JCo trace

Try to delete the license and apply a new one again and restart the system.

Are you able to check if the RFC connection from the Java stack to the ABAP stack works?

I think that something is preventing the RFC connection for the UME working.

It will probably be using the SAPJSF user in the ABAP stack to communicate from the Java stack to the ABAP stack.

Is the SAPJSF user locked?

Can you create an RFC in the ABAP stack in tx SM59, pointing back to itself and logging in as SAPJSF (or the correct JSF username) and test it?

Maybe this will help you figure it out....

Hi Sreeni,

check your hardware key, if hardware key changes, you need to apply licenses for new key.

Normally after putting server on new hardware, ABAP system have temporary license of 1 month and java system don't have any license but a duel stack system should run because of abap license.

Some time this issue happen due to saposcol or message services.

check if java and abap message servers are running fine.

If all above things are done and still not working,  try to stop your sap system and clean all IPCs and then start SAP system.

Abhishek
