Problems with Copying Namespaces

Former Member

Hi,

I have 2 SWCs

Order_COMP and Product_COMP

It is required that i copy a namespace from Product_COMP to Order_COMP.

We used the option release transfer to do this and it was working fine.

We had a namespace http://customermaster that had to be copied the same way.

When we tried doing it the log said that the namespace could not be transferred because the target was more uptodate than the source

But the target namespace is empty whereas the source namespace has around 15 objects in it.

How does XI evaluate as to which is more UPTODATE?

This is really strange. We are not able to move our namespaces now.

Any suggestions to resolve this.

Hi Sivasakthi,

go to SXI_CACHE......do a cache refresh.......now open IR again......see now if the target ns has the objects of source or not......if not, then from source ns select object, right-click it, select copy option and copy it to target ns.......

Thanks,
