Can We Install GRC 10.0 on BI System 7.3 EHP1

Hi,

We are planning to Implement GRC 10.0 and have a question regarding implementation, Hope some one can answer based on your experience.

We have BI 7.3 EHP1 and below components are present :

SAP_BASIS	731	0007
SAP_ABA	731	0007
PI_BASIS	731	0007
ST-PI	2008_1_700	0008
SAP_BW	731	0007
BI_CONT	747	0005
ST-A/PI	01Q_731	0001
POASBC	100_731	0003
CPMBC	801	0003

To install GRC 10.0 the below Prerequisites are mentioned in the Installation Guide:

■ SAP_ABA 7.02 (SP06)

■ SAP_BASIS 7.02 (SP06)

■ PI_BASIS 7.02 (SP06)

■ SAP_BW 7.02 (SP06

so technically we can install GRC in our environment , but there is a statement in the installation guide "

"CAUTION

AC/PC/RM 10.0 should not be installed with SAP Business Suite or with any SAP Business Suite

components such as ERP, SCM, CRM, and SRM."

Here my question is that BI is not a SAP Business Suite product and wondering if experts here point us implications of installing GRC 10.0 into BI 7.3 EHP1

you can, but check about system performance.

if you have  great system to handle performance issue. you can on any system with minimum NW7.02 SP6.

Hi Prasant,

Thanks for your quick response, I have a question regarding the plugin..

If we  install GRC 10 on the BI 7.3 system , now BI 7.3  also becomes the GRC server, if we decided to install plugin for the same BI 7.3 system to use the GRC  functionality ,does this have any technical difficulties? As now GRC  suite and GRC plugin on the same system.

No..

you have plugin installed on same system ,but for workflow activation.. there is section in post installation document  regarding how to proceed if we have plugin installed on same system.
