IDM Experts....please suggest

Hi,

I need to do a Heterogeneous system copy of SAP IDM:

Source system: Only Export is provided

Target System: SAP NW IDM 7.2 SPS08 on Sql server 2008/ Windows 2008 R2

Please help me out on how to proceed any help would be appreciated.

I am worried about Post Installation steps as well ....any specific notes or checklist...and how to configure JRE  for the runtime environment...

Vahini,

I think you've already received the link to the document that outlines the process. I don't know that there is any specific need to edit the Java settings.  Just read through the document and make sure that you have IDM, BASIS, and DBA support during the process.  I'm not aware of any specific notes on this process.

Hello experts,

I have done the following for system copy of IDM 7.2 system

Target system: All Fresh Install

MS windows 2008 R2 + MS SQL Server 2008 + NW AS JAVA 7.3 Ehp1 +IDM database 7.2 (only database Installed no post installation configuration done)

On Source system done the following:

1. Imported the system copy jobs

2. Created Dispatcher to run system copy job

3. Imported the job folder

4. Configured Repository constants

My first question is WHERE SHOULD I RUN THE IMPORT JOB - Source or target ?

Second question is anything to do on TARGET SYSTEM ?

Please suggest...I am new to IDM...Thanks in Advance
