Dear all,
I´m facing problem on creating the system on SMSY, in the past on the version 7.01 EHP1 of solman I used to create the system on the transaction SMSY with the pointers of the SM59 RFCs but now it says that I have to create it via LMSB.
I don´t have any production system on my company the productions system are on my clients. So how do I complete this step "Migrating Technical System from SMSY of the phase 5.2 Set Up LMDB from system preparation.
If I click it list NO SYSTEM to migrate.
Any help please or documentation on how to create the system.

you just need to configure the object server in the step setu lmdb:-
1. Give it a name as SAPSID.
2. configure as below:-
Once this step is done.
Then you can manually add the managed systems via Tcode LMDB or RZ70 in client systems.

Hi dear Sharma,
I already reached this step. Now it is asking me to upgrade the CR, doing that.
But understand, before it was telling me that I had not any productions system just the solman and this is really. I just have a development system here and want to connect my clients to my solman because I´m a VAR.
Before the version 7.1 I used to connect my clients via SMSY but now I don´t how do I'm going to do it in order to be reflected here.
any idea?

As per the screen shot from step 5.2
it says the CR CONTENT 8.11 (your current version is outdated)
you need to update it first and try the rest.
update procedure.
follow note 669669
download the mentioned files in note 669669 section :SAP CR CONTENT UP TO 2012
Login into
click on
Administration>> Details >> data (to check the current version)
click on
Administration>> import
first import the cimsap file
and then the Delta file

Hi Nelson,
In Solution manager 7.1 all the system landscape details have to maintained in the transaction LMDB (Landscape Management Database), whereas in SMSY you can view the technical details and product instance of all systems.
Once you have connected all your managed systems (ERP, BW etc...) in central SLD of solution manager, it will automatically update the landscape details in LMDB.
Use transaction LMDB, Technical systems - select your system type and click on edit or goto system overview screen and select advanced --> Resynchronize technical system from SLD.

As I understood from this link (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm71_sp08/helpdata/en/31/6f58dd0fdd4d208735c2b2e190de84/frameset.htm) I have to create the system on the SLD and it will be full or automatic synchronized to the LMDB that will continuously sync with the SMSY, I'm correct?
If yes, please tell me how do I do to complete the system preparation because I don´t have any production system on my company. I have 3 external clients that has system with the same SID:
1. Client 1 - SDV, PRD
2. Client 2 - has SDV and PRD
3. Client 3 - has SDV and PRD.
When I create these system on the SLD it will not conflict?

Dear all,
Look, I attached some screenshots to try to clarify my situation.
1. I´m on phase 5.2 Set Up LMDB, and all the steps are OK. just missing the Migration of the TS from SMSY because when I click on creating it says no system selected and there is no system.
in the next step it ask me to select at least one productions system and I just have the SLM and it refuses how do I do?

Yes you are correct.
Secondly,
I did not understand the below part:-

Does that mean that the client systems are on different network and your solman on different?
Also, is your sld and solman different or same?

See after seeing the scenario what it appears to me is as follows:-
1. Your production system needs to be created in SLD or SMSY
2. Creation can be done only when they are in the same network via rz70 for abap and creating the entry in sld data supplier for java stack.
3. Once created the synchronization connection between a System Landscape Directory (SLD) and LMDB starts the data synchronization from SLD (source system) to LMDB (target system).
Job name :SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001
RFC name: LMDB_SyncDest1
4. After this, your production system will automatically show in LMDB or you can easily migrate them from SMSY
