Regd: Issue with MSMP Configuration for Functions in ARA

Hello Team,

I configured a Workflow Using MSMP for changes in Functions in ARA.

Well, Once the user changes or creates a function, the request is getting submitted.

And When the Function Approver logs into NWBC to his inbox he is able to see the request also.

When the Function Approver was about to approve he is getting the following error message.

• The following error occurred in system : Field symbol has not yet been assigned.

• The termination type was: RABAX_STATE

Upon Going to ST22 I found the following message:

ABAP Run time Error : GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED

Can someone help me on how to proceed further?

I just stumbled on this note - same error and related to functions as well

1727107 - GRC 10.0- Field symbol has not yet been assigned.

Can you switch WF off (via configuration parameters) and try to create a function directly in NWBC. You will get the Save button instead of the Submit. See if you get the error. If you do, look at this note and you will know it's not MSMP related.

Hi Lee,

I did try this. I am not getting errors.

When I configured Workflows for BRM, they are all working fine.

Only for this Function Approval in ARA, its throwing Error.

But I found there are errors like this in other forums of SAP like CRM, ABAP etc., where some notes was released and some code correction is done.

So, most probably, I guess, this is not an issue with MSMP Configuration.

Correct me If I am wrong also please.

What values do you have for the request type parameters? Also, what configuration do you have for Request Type and MSMP Process Id? Do they match?

Check your configuration parameters for workflow 1104/1105/1106 to make sure they match the request type

Do you have any outstanding changes for the Function that haven't processed?

What task settings do you have for the approval stage in the MSMP?

Hello Lee,

I didn't maintain the workflow parameters 1104, 1105 and 1106. Currently, I maintained that but i am getting the same error.

I only maintained the workflow parameter 1064.

Well, I don't have any outstanding function changes.

Regarding the Task Settings that I am maintaining, I am sending you the screenshot of that.

instead of maintaining in task settings, at stage level click show details and maintain agent there.

I am going ahead and will maintain the agent at stage level as you mentioned and let you know the result.

In the meanwhile, Please forgive me for my ignorance, but my doubt is:

What difference it will make if we maintain the agent at stage level?

Lets check it out.

first check the request type associated to proper process id.

parameter is properly set.

agents are maintained.

then msmp > add escape path.

then do a test .

lets us know where it goes.

If you suggesting me to check the role SAP_GRAC_FUNCTION_APPROVER I verified it and found that the role is assigned to the approver.
