my company has invested in VS-2005 and they have Sharepoint portal 2003. Now, i want to create web parts in VS-2005 and deploy them in Sharepoint portal 2003.
However its not the best idea in the world. Seriously if your going to develop web parts for sharepoint 2003, get the correct copy of Visual Studio it will be a lot less painful.

This is a wrapper that allows .net 2.0 user controls inside it, now I dont use this I think it brings problems all of its own to the party but it is used by a large part of the sharepoint community.
