Dear Experts,
In Production Order, when released, there is a Reservation Number in Assignment Tab Page. Is this number enough for issuance of BOM Components from Store or Additional Transaction MB1B is required for transfer of material to production storage location.
In fact, I require info about Goods Movements during Production Order Life Cycle (Standard)......
If movement of materials during production order life cycle is explained, Surely he will be rewarded.

waqas
Dear Ahmed,
There is no relation between the reservations that are generated in the production order and the pull list
for material staging using MF60.
MF60 can be used to stage the components required both in a order based(Discrete/Process) and
the period based production setup(Repetitive manufacturing).
You can either do a direct stock transfer posting or else create a stock transfer reservations based
on the global settings in the input screen using the transaction MF60.
The other way of doing the stock transfers is using MB1B.
check and come back with your further questions.

Deae Raj,
Thanks for your input.
Actually we are using MB1B in our compamy which is discrete manufacturing organization. We are making manual reservation and then with 311 movement tpe transferring it to Prod Storage Location.
The question is that what is the use of reservation number generated in order. Is it useless?

Hi Mangalraj,
In MF60 when you do material staging, according to any selection parameter, system will show a cumulative quantity and when you select any line item and click on display it will show for which all requirements it is cumulating and also the reservation number But you cannot do staging with reference to reservation.
is my understanding correct?

Anupam Sharma
Dear Ahmed,
I would not say it is useless,it will be usefull in understanding the requirements for a production order
when accessing the report MB25, the same can be used to post the GI for the components using
261 movement in the transaction codes MIGO,MB1A and also at the time of confirmation for those
components for which backflush indicator is set.
The system always creates the reservation for the order components as per the settings defined in
OPL8 for create reservation in the planning tab page.

Hi
If you do material staging( MF60 -Pull list) for the same then you will get the 311 movement type with refernce to reservation no and order if you have maintained the replenishment sloc.but if you use CO27 pick list the you will get 261 movement type document with refrence to that reservation no and order no.
Also if you issue to reservation it will guve you 261 movement type document.
