Mobile App Client Properties Not Working

Former Member

Hello all,

We want to turn off the application password and enable offline storage for the users and to achieve that I added client.properties file those lines below:

savePassword=true

offlineStorage=true

offlineStorage.ttl=365

offlineStorage.appPwd=false

In our previous BO 4.0 environment, that client.properties file was located under C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\webapps\MobileBIService\WEB-INF and it seemed to be working fine.

However, on BI 4.1 environment although I added that properties file to the same directory, to the C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\webapps\MobileBIService\WEB-INF\config\custom and default directories but iOS app dont receive those properties.

We have also restarted BO servers and tomcat a few times already. Also logged in, logged out to the app; make a full exit terminate the app and login again; even created a connection from scratch.

It didnt work.

Are we missing something? Is something need to be done differently on BO 4.1?

Thank you in advance

Just in case you haven't already Erme, check the

Administrator and Report Designer's guide: SAP BusinessObjects Mobile for iOS at:

http://help.sap.com/bomobileios

It does mention CMC set rights can override the client properties, or you may find something else in there of interest while you wait for the gurus to come back to you.

cheers.

Atul & Michael thank you very much.

Under applications in CMC, changing the SAP BO Mobile application client settings resolved the issue.

HI

can you clear the cache from Tomcat/work/catalina/localhost

remove MobileBIService folder

start tomcat again

check the issue

also, login to CMC >applications>SAP BO MObile

check out the settings mentioned in there.

they should not clash

Regards,

Atul B
