Mail Notification to Buyer

Dear Gurus,

Background:

We have already configured the mail notification to buyer on receipt of goods and the message is going to SAP Inbox successfully

Business Requirement:

We want to send the notification to outlook email address of buyer once the GR is done. Need to know whether there is standard functionality in SAP which will trigger the Notification to Outlook or we have to customization

then all you now need to do is change medium to 5 for external send in the output configuration

check it out.

So there is no customization required to send the email notification to Buyer in his/her outlook inbox rather than in SAP Inbox?

Hi Arun,

I have checked with the MM team and they have said that we can not have two message type for Purchase Order and GR Message.

We are already using the external message functionality for sending the PO to the external vendors.

So can you please advise how to configure the external email to buyers using 5

Hi Abhijeet ,

contact Basic team for configuring SCOT setting and also maintain mail id against Purchase group.

after configuring SCOT ,you can check mail status in SOST tcode.

I think SCOT will not applicable, because in our case the purchasing group is based on the department not as per the buyer purchasing group which is the industry standard

Can you please suggest any other alternative way?
