copy control for return billing within SAP EHP6

hi dear

In SAP EHP6, we could not found copy control from LR (return delivery) to RE (return credit) in transaction code VTFL (copy control: delivery to billing). And in contrast, there are more copy procedure we can found in previous version.

Is there any body can tell us where we can find copy control for return billing (eg. LR to RE) and others in version of SAP EHP6

Hi Da,

we could not found copy control from LR (return delivery) to RE (return credit) in transaction code VTFL (copy control: delivery to billing).

You have not found Return Delivery LR to Return Credit Memo RE copy control in system and as per Standard business Process Proposed  by SAP it is correct also.

SAP suggests you should follow :

Return Order --> Return Credit Memo (Check VTFA)

Return Order --> Return Delivery (Check VTFL)

Why SAP suggest this way?

• Normally in most of the companies Returns processing , Verification, Approval, Physical Goods shipped from Customer, Receiving in Plant and Actual credit posting to Customer takes a lot time.
• In all of this time, Customer's Credit will be consumed and he will not be able to use that much credit. This can be a serious issue for the company who follows strict Credit Management for customers.
• So to release, his credit based on primary analysis itself, we should create Credit Memo.
• Physical Goods may take time to reach back to us and we can process Return delivery later.

If your business has different requirement you can configure your system accordingly. You can try something like below for your reference:

thx your repied. As we know, The standard return process is RE --> LR --> RE in previous SAP version.

And from SAP EHP4, SAP release Advanced Return Management (LO-ARM), whether is the return process has been changed, means we could not bill to customer per return delivery document.

I could not understand if you are asking the question, but this is how SAP is currently working for Return Process.

Your point of LO-ARM (Advanced return management) is new for me.

Apart from this do you have any other subsequent question then let us know, and If it is answered then mark accordingly.

VTFL is Delivery to Billing whereas, your requirement to check Order to Delivery which you can see in VTLA.

thx you replied; and in fact, we need the copy control is from LR (return delivery doc.) to RE (or G2 in previous SAP version - return credit billing doc.)
