Hi Expert,
we have scenario: TradeXpress--> PI --> Idoc
we are using PI 7.0
TradeXpress is sending data in idoc form (means in PI it is idoc to idoc). In TradeXpress some special character is coming as Ö , but when it is reaching to PI system, this special character is getting changed. But our clients wants the same character in target Idoc.
In TRADEXPRESS system:
While SAP PI is receiving the above red marked character as below:
Can anyone helo me how to achive this.
I appreciate your feedback.
Thanks,
Lisin
Hi Lisin,
Therefore I think you have developed a FILE - IDOC scenario, isnt it?
Check the point 3.1 in this document http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/502991a2-45d9-2910-d99f-8aba5d79f...

Hi Ambrish,
The TE system uses utf-8 encoding .
They send data using trfc connection but in the form of flat file.
Appericiate your response.
Thanks !!!

The incoming document is in UTF-8, however PI treats it as ISO-8859-1 and does a conversion.
You need to remove this conversion from your scenario.

Hi Lisin,
Please check if TradeExpress and target system is on unicode.
How is TradeExpress sending the IDoc ? Through file (Idoc XML or flat ) or through RFC ? Is it an SAP system ?
