SAP APO/ i2/JDA- Which of the SCM Tool/Software is best?

Hi All,

Can anyone suggest which one is most effective technology to be  used in SCM Planning.?

I suppose APO/SCM  is the most widely used Supply Chain Management Software.

i2- its now outdated and has various flaws and not so successful.

JDA: It is still used in lot of business  

What's your take on this  guys ?

Hi Harsh,

Yes, you are right SAP SCM / APO is most sought after software for managing your supply chain, with new products introduction by SAP at regular intervals and its integration capabilities are making it more and more attractive.

Recent introduction of HANA, cloud offering and acquisition of Smartops to name a few by SAP are adding lots of value to an already strong offering which SAP has.

Hi Harsh,

There is no doubt now, SAP SCM APO is leading tool.

We are getting many requirements to migrate from JDA to APO, that clarifies the trend.

In SCM planning  from S&OP perspective, SAP S&OP is also now being enquired and positioned.

Is JDA a distibuted product / modular   or  it comes as a suite like SAP .

Is there a specific JDA tool for Sales and Operations Planning that compares to SAP Sales and Operation planning (HANA based)  ?
