Hello,

If you check different steps in /ASU/UPGRADE then many of them are for your information purpose only. So, you can set their status manually in /ASU/UPGRADE to OK. For some of the steps like table COKEY2 should be empty or taking backup of table T512W is necessary to avoid any issue during/after upgrade.

Thanks,

Sunny

Hi Reza,

Do you have any entries in the COKEY2 table?

Or this note is mentioned in the /ASU/UPGRADE phase?

If it so it is not relevant you can skit and proceed.

As per upgrade guide, have you performed below step ?

With SAP ERP 2004, table COKEY2 has been extended by two fields. As the upgrade does not initialize the fields, you need to run report Z_873466_REPAIR_AFTER_UPGRADE before you perform the upgrade.

For more information, see SAP Note 873466.

Hi All,

I also faced a similar issue during upgrade. Some useful findings.

1. Only super user can access this /n/ASU/START

2. All the obligatory executable tasks are automatically performed by the system automatically during upgrade.      SAPADM. Only errors (if any) are to be corrected.

3. Some of the tasks are only to go through some SAP notes as a precaution before upgrade.

4.  Execute all the checks /n/ASU/UPGRADE

5. This surely can be skipped, but not advisable.

Hello,

Even if you will not perform these activities then it should not create problem in upgrade. But it is always advised to perform these activities to avoid any errors in the future.

Hi Reza,

While selecting the target system in MOPZ before upgrade, did you selected any industry specific solutions like ECC_DIMP or is it already activated in your source system. If yes, then have your functional team and analyze the notes mentioned in the above screenshot and do the necessary adjustments as mentioned in the note.

Please go through this note slowly Note 1000009 - ASU Toolbox 2008 which explains the importance of application specific steps before and after upgarde using ASU Toolbox.

Hi Reza,

All the packages wont be in EHP6 some of the componenets in EHP4 as well.

For those components the mentioned notes will be appicable.

It is so normal to get the errors as per the components installed in your system. So dont worry try to complete with the help from your team.
