Contract Generation Issue

Hi Experts,

We are facing a problem with contract generation, during migration or manual insertion, the MS Word File can’t be read by contract generation service.

When manual inserting: process fail with 10%

When importing: trace shows the message “Server was unable to process request. ---> Value cannot be null”

• The Contract Generation webservice can be accessed via Browser
• Contract Generation is working fine on DEV and QAS
• Contract Generation is OK on ISS

Hi Adilson,

Please check is your clause document has any section breaks and remove any section breaks and try to create conrtact document again. If we have any section breaks in clause document contract wouldn't create.

Hi Gurvi,

I'm trying to upload a clause with simple text and one token, but its not working. After open an OSS note, SAP recomended reinstall Contract gen and Word Service.

Did you know why you have to reinstall the word service? Is it because of version incompatibility?

No, we don't know why. My suspicions are:

• Wordservice configuration (because of manual configuration and html format)
• Office Automation user (because of certificate generation and password)

After reinstalling, Contract Generation is working fine.
