Inspection set up for STOs

Hi All,

We are doing STO through 101 movement type. 101 movement type for STO is configured with 0102 inspection type. Is there a way we can restrict inspection lot creation by plant level?

If I deactivate 0102 inspection type at material master. During GR in receving plant I am getting an error stating that change the inspection lot in QM only.

Is there a way we can avoid this error?

You are probably trying to deactivate the inspection type when you have existing inspection stock.  You cannot do that.  You must first process and clear any outstanding lots with stock in Qi.  Then you can deactivate the inspection type in the material master.

Also, as a side note.  Inspection type 0102 cannot be assigned to a movement type.  Only inspection origins are assigned to movement types and these cannot be changed by the client.  (At least not after 4.0 b or c).
