I am new to service management in SRM.
Could you please explain what is service hierachy in SAP SRM ? As per my knowlede , SRM 5 does not support service hierarchy ?
Please explain the basic definition with examples and the details of the functionality offered in SRM 7.
Regards,
JP
Hi,
One more point for service hierarchy:
For direct SC creation in SRM, hierarchy is not supported. Hierarchy in SC can only be inherited from ECC PR.
For contract, once service procurement is used, you must use hierarchy for service item. Flat service is not supported in such scenario. This is mentioned in the KBA below:
1968147 - Flat Service in Contract is not supported with Service Procurement
So I suggest you consider hierarchy from the whole process of your business to see if it can be used consistently in all kinds of documents.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Ivy

Hi,
Refer: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm701/helpdata/en/db/99e4261328459c94353b61395069ac/content.htm
From SRM 7.01 service hierarchy is only activated in contracts.
From SRM 7.02 service hierarchy is activated in all documents.
