Hi

I have requested my basis team to give me the following roles in PI

SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR,

SAP_J2EE_ADMIN,

SAP_XI_MONITOR,

SAP_XI_MONITOR_EXTENTED,

SAP_XI_DEVELOPER

SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR,

SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR

SAP_XI_DISPLAY_USER

SAP_XI_DEVELOPER

SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR

SAP_XI_SUPPORT

SAP_XI_MONITOR

SAP_XI_MONITOR,

SAP_BC_BASIS_MONITORING

SAP_XI_MONITOR_ENHANCED

SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER

SAP_XI_DISPLAY_USER

and i see all the roles in PI assigned in SU01 but not starting with SAP but starting with FXXXX or TXXXX like the following

FXXXXX_XI_ADMINISTRATOR

TXXXXX_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR

..

...

.....

Could this be a problem, as i see i don't have access to any of the components I cant open ESR or ID, i dont even have SLD components display access or dont even have display access to any o fht enwa components.

It is not the Java issue as i am running another PI 7.31 server in the same system and also the ESR and ID errors come only after java is run properly and after the SAP screen appears.

For SLD i get

"You dont have permissions to view the System landscape Directory"

For NWA

"You dont have access to the applications assigned to the profile either due to lack of permissions or because the applications are not usable on this system"

For ESR and ID

I get "No authorization for this action."

Hi Kalyan,

>>>It is not the Java issue as i am running another PI 7.31 server in the same system

     Java web start is good

>>>"You dont have permissions to view the System landscape Directory"

Your user ID don't have permission to view, Check with basis team whether the respective role is assigned to your ID..

Cheers

Hi Agasthuri

The Java westart is good, like I said I am able to access another PI application server without any issue.

Coming to the SLD I see the following roles have been assigned to my user iD in SU01, so I was wondering if these are the correct roles for SLD.

TXXXXX_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR,

TXXXXX_SLD_CONFIGURATOR

Hi Kalyan,

Can you check whether you have

SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR

SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR

SAP_SLD_Guest - has read only access

Cheers

Like I said earlier, instead of roles starting with SAP I see I have been assigned roles starting with TXXXX

So no I don't see

SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR

SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR

Instead I see

TXXXX_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR

TXXXX_SLD_CONFIGURATOR

Hi Kalyan,

It seems they have copied the roles, when we copy the roles the group in Java side changes and we need to assign the authorization..

can you get  SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR or SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR role to your ID ?

cheers

The standard SAP Roles did the trick, so it is indeed problem with custome roles which are missing the java user groups. Thank You Agasthuri.
