SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL : Mass Role Derivation

Hi experts,

We have a large number of simple roles to derive (mainly on Company Code BURKS).

These simple roles have been created in the ECC backend system.

We set up GRC AC 10, and tried to derive these simple roles with the Mass Role Derivation toll (see attached screen shot 1.)

Every steps go well but at the end of the process the simple role is not derived and we get this message "Reason : Function module does not exit" (see attached screen shot 2.)

Do you have any idea where this problem comes from ?

Hi Fancois

There are some notes in Marketplace - example below (seems suggested that one along with 1735542).

I recommend you check the plug-in system to see if there are any ST22 or SM21 error messages. Possibly you have an issue with the plug-in, etc.

Note 1602861 - Error: Function module does not exist

If you still struggling to find the Function Module, kick of the ST01 trace for RFC call and see what the system attempts to call.

Hi colleen,

A small clarification required, is there any way to create Mass roles through BRM. I understand there is none but to confirm with you whether it is possible or not.

Hi,

I am presuming that the base configuration for using BRM has been performed? i.e. naming conventions,org mappings, role building methodology etc etc. What support pack level is your grcfnd_a component on? Also, I'm presuming the plugin systems have been configured and have the plugin component installed at the correct SP level.

I have not seen that specific described error myself, but I know there were various bugs with BRM and it's functionality in early 2012.
