Problem in MaxDb Installation

Hi,

at first I'm new in SAP MaxDB actually all SAP Tech, I new that the Maxdb should be Install on OS Server Family like Windows 2003 Server "I actually don't know what it should be cause all other engines oracle, sql server running on all OS" but I installed it on Windows 7 x64 but it's not working correctly

well, I uninstalled it and Remove the DB Service Manually "I don't know why I should be remove it manually but it's happened " and after that I tried to reinstall it bu I got a bulk of error, any one can help me about that ?, thanks a lot

You can check SAP MaxDB supported platforms as well as Installation using links below:

Since Win7 is not in the support list, I suggest you can install a Win 2k3/2k8 virtual machine on your win7 system and install MaxDB. Just like I did now

Hi Lei thanks for reply, actually I thought about that to run on virtual machine but actually I surprised it's only install on a Server ? because all other DB Engines running on all platforms

What is the version of MaxDB you are trying to install ?

Can you please attach the installation log file from directory  /sapdb/data/wrk

Thank Yashwanth for your reply, I'm using  Version 7.8.02.35 but I didn't know how I export the log file because the log view it's only a window to view what happened and I found that it's Fullllllllllllllllll by more settings
