Hi,
We have a requirement where in user can have a flexibility to copy kf1 or kf2 or kf3 to a kf called
disaggkf. This disaggkf will be used as basis of disaggregation for
another kf.Is there a way we can achieve this as part of standard fucntionality? If yes how to do it?
Please help.
Kind Regards,
Sanjeev
Hi Sanjeev,
We can achieve this using Defaulting functionality in S&OP. You can setup calculation such that
KF defaults to KF1 or you can setup a defaulting chain where KF defaults to KF1; KF1 defaults to KF2 and KF2 defaults to KF3. The disaggregation logic in S&OP will automatically respect this defaulting chain. Note that the Key Figures should be in the same base plan level for disaggregation in case of defaulting.
For examples, you can refer to the out of the box model in S&OP where such defaulting is defined for Key Figures: Consensus Demand, Marketing Forecast Qty and Demand Planning Qty.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Raghav

That should still be possible using defaulting functionality. You can define in excel planning view, a key figure called disaggregation selection where user enters a value identifier for the key figure to disaggregate with. eg 1 => KF1; 2=>KF2,etc. This value selection should be part of calculation of the target key figure.
