Z BI reports published to suppliers through MM-SUS

Hi experts,

We are in requirements gathering phase and have a very specific requirement which we are struggling with. First, I want to describe the scenario and hopefully some of you can throw some usefull ideas on how to get this working:

Landscape:

SRM 7.02 and SUS on same server, different clients

ECC 6.06

Portal 7.3

BI 7.31

Scenario:

Our client needs to publish information being generated in ECC and Retail through BI reports. These reports will be accessed by suppliers through SAP Portal.

Number of suppliers accessing to BI reports: 18000 (38000 users, as every supplier would have more than one user).

Constraints:

SAP has told our client that giving supplier direct access to BI reports will require licensing for every user

SAP alternative is to give access to BI reports through SUS (external community members)

We know that there is standard BI Business Content to allow SUS suppliers to access data like purchase order history and open invoices but this does not cover all information requirements.

So basically, we are considering to build Z queries and reports in BI and pubishing those reports in SUS but we don't know how to achieve this, considering that supplier (SUS) users cannot access BI reports with a named user (license restriction).

Is it possible to make those reports available on SUS BSP's or portal iview or something similar?

Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

Hi Orlando Acosta,

You may get success in achieving your needs via RFC enabled Z FMs and few webdynpro views.. but even then it may be violation of SAP's licence... Instead, it is better to explore on standard features available in these area (Sorry.. it is just my opinion)...

Please read out the documentation under "Check Payment Status of an Invoice" in the below link. You may get some clues.

Hi Ganapathi,

Thanks for your answer. We already were checking the standard queries you mentioned in your post, unfortunately, it does not cover our requirements.

I think the option would be Z FM's and webdynpros as you mention. Can you provide some technical details how to achieve this?

Thanks again.
