Release normal correction during test phase

Hi all,

What is the parameter that prevent normal correction to be released during the test phase in Solman 7.1?

The reason is that people who implemented Solman 7.0 in our company were able to change something that allowed us to keep using normal changes during test phase and we would like to keep this feature but I can't figure what have been done.

We need the opportunity to use transport of copies for multiple reasons during test phase, but we would also like to use defect corrections as it's a faster way to create defects during integreted tests.

was nt able to exactly get your requirement, do you want to stop the TR release or enable the TR release. ( because first paragraph you are requesting as "prevent the feature", and the immediate next paragraph you are requesting "keep this feature")

By standard In Charm you can release normal corrections on Dev with release phase. Test phase considered as code freeze. No more normal change release allowed.

There are two options, might be you could done on 7.10

1.creating TR outside Charm. can you confirm might be you are allowing to create TR outside Charm Task list? check the parameter SAP_CTS_PROJECT. This create, release TR outside Charm

2. Other case might be they used the urgent changes or regarding defect corrections,

defect correction created for the intention using TR in Test phase without approval, this is available in 7.0  called as test message. but in 7,1 we can also create Defect correction out of rfc too check out

Please check any sign your previous team used any of these features,

Hi Joakim Beaupre,

Release the normal change during the test phase is not possible in the SAP Standard.

Defect Change will help and fix the issue with the help of Defect TR's.

In Phase " Test" - Able to create the TR , but not able to release it

                   Phase " Go-Live" - Not able to generate the Change document and not able to release the TR's.

Also SAP not recommand to release the TR's in the test phase for Normal change.

Better check with SAP for this option.
