Solved: Implement the CCN and the required notes.

Dear Experts

As i installed Solman7.1 and we are stuck in System preparation for CCN Notes I have Implemented Note 1633725 with all manual correction but there is completion id tab Implement sap Note In activity warning and download in activities not yet Performed

Kindly suggest which note are to be implement give us workaround

Hi,

After you implemented the note did you close solman_SETUP and rerun it again.

Once you have downloaded all the note you need to click on Status and then give Performed.

and then launch Post processing and click on execute button.

But you are using SP04 . You should go to SP08 and then do all the steps to avoid many issues.

we are on sp04 we are not able to move to sp8 bcaz we don't have Mopz activated bcaz system prepration had some issue with tab 3 implement sap note we had implemented the note 1633725 through snote then also it is not able to activate download tab

is it possible to goto sp8 at at this stage then kindly help in getting that

Hi,

You dont need to used MOPZ if you want to upgrade to SP08 as sap gives the DVD you can download .

It has the stack file also and use can use an upgrade to SP08 with out configuring MOPZ.

I had Downloaded SP8 6 DVD's as you said now tell me how to apply them or i need take backup of whole system before going to sp8 all this activities i am doing for first time. If you have send me some link for configure Mopz from scratch.

Please try to do the patching using the tool SUM tools.

Please read the below link how to run SUM tool.

This will show you how it runs.

Please copy all the patch in the directory at os level.

Copy the Xml file also in there.

Uncar the sum tool and run the upgrade.

Give the stack file in the sum tool when it asks.

Please read the guide and it would be easy after that.

Hi,

Yes please take backup but the SUM tool will tell you when to do what.

It will also help you about the minimum SPAM/SAINT version that you need.

From earlier projection it takes up 2-3 days during the uptime and 5-10 hours of downtime.

But these stats vari system to system.

the latest Software Update Manager (SUM) 1.0 Support Package 07 patch
what about remaining i have update before or it will from the xml file

Hi,

You should upgrade the kernel manually to avoid issues.

But sum tool will also do the kernel also if you dont update it.It will take care of the abap and java both.

I think SUM later version SP08 is also there .SOFTWARE UPDATE MANAGER 1.0 SP08 . Try to use the latest.

As we had space issue this activity require 150 as i read in note the space require we manage to get the space in which drive how much space require suggest me

Hi,

I don't have the exact figure but you might require some where around 50 gb space for the SUM and the software.

Then on the database side you might require 100gb

and you might need 20 gb for /usr/sap/SID

Hi,

Yes but when you run the exe it gives you on folder. Please read the guide properly you need to have the stack file and the patch in one directory.

I have downloaded SIX dvd's i unzip all files and kept them in one folder that what from my thought

that is only combine of both called as the stack file and the patch that both are in one directory.

Or any difference files i have to download for patch file

i will send you the attachment document for ur reference

in this following folder i have whole unzip file stored shall i proceed

i am login as ADMINISTRATOR it through error called login as SIDADM

Hi Raj,

If you have implemented all the CCN notes in snote with all the manual corrections, you can manually changes the status to performed in import subtab.

I had Implemented snote 1633725 the status of note is finished it may have some problems if u have any document that which sub note has to implement in which way kindly send me the doucument we are not able to activate Mopz also if u need i can provide u team viewer so that u can able to rectify the same
