Plant Information Catalog compatibility with SAP ECC

Hi,

I am new to SAP MII 14.2. I want to know what version of SAP ECC we should have in order to be able to leverage PIC in MII 14.2.

Hi Rajesh,

There is no correlation between ECC and PIC till MII 14.0 SP3.

PIC integration with PP and PM hierarchy would be present from MII 14.0 SP4.

So for SP4 and after,you need to take care of ECC version.

The PIC integration with ERP is not currently released to the market and is planned to be part of MII 14.0 SP04 which is planned for release on the last week of November 2013.  The integration will include the ability to browse and import from PM (Functional Locations, Equipment, Measurement Points) and from PP(-PI) (Work Centers, Capacity IDs) and assign them to various nodes in the PIC.  This will allow for a much tighter integration between the tag environment and ERP and is a very much anticipated feature for the MII PIC.
