SAML 2.0 with PI 7.11

Hi folks,

do you know if it is possible to use SAML 2.0 with PI 7.11, as far as I know it isnt.

if it can be implemented, please give me some docs and guidelines to implement it.

does anyone has implemented it in a real scenario?

I've been evaluating this, too. The answer I came to was "no". You need to upgrade to 7.3 to be able to use it. Having IdM 7.1 helps if you're in SAP world, but any other IdP would be sufficient. Without NetWeaver 7.3, though, I believe it will be impossible. The way we implemented it was having a 7.3 portal handling the SAML request and a PI 7.11 behind it where the portal would post separate requests to in the background. But this is no real SAML across all the landscape, of course.
