UWL Atomatic refresh

Hi,

    I am working with SRM 7.02. When the user selects the hyperlink from the UWL and approves/Rejects the workitem, the UWL is not getting refreshed automatically. Can some one help me with this.

note: for the buttons in the UWL the refresh is happening, but only for hyperlink  we have to refresh it manually to reflect the changes.

Enabling Real Time Refresh

Use

Real Time Refresh (RTR) mechanism of UWL enables automatic update of the UWL task and alerts list. Thus, when items are set to status Complete, they are removed from the New and In Progress view in the UWL. You can configure UWL to refresh its tasks and alerts list at time period different that the minimum 20 second period. The user does not need to use the refresh function to update the inbox.

To use RTR you need to register the WebFlowConnector with the UWL service after defining a new system connection. The configuration details for the WebFlowConnector are the same as the configuration details for the RFC destination that it connects to.

Prerequisites

●  You have configured an RFC destination for connection with the back-end system.

●  The back-end system has the SAP_ABA and SAP_BASIS components.

Procedure

  1.  On the portal, navigate to System Administration →System Configuration →Universal Worklist and Workflow → Universal Worklist Administration.

  2.  Choose the New pushbutton to configure the connector. Enter the system alias you are using.

  3.  From the Connector Type dropdown list, choose WebFlowConnector.

  4.  Fill in the configuration details for the connector.

  5.  To enable the RTR, select the Retrieve custom attributes using primary pull checkbox.

  6.  To define the time period for UWL task list update, enter a number bigger than 20 in the Refresh Period for Completed Items (in Seconds) field.

  7.  To save the current connector registration, choose the Save pushbutton.

HI Mano,

There is a problem in UWl where it wont automatically refresh some times.

Please ask your portal consultant to reduce the refreshing time of UWL, when ever work item action perform with 5 or 10 sec(if change in setting) it will get refresh .
