Hi Folks,
I am working on SAP PI 7.4 on JAVA IDOC adapter. Configured all in NWA as mentioned in below links but Program ID is showing with different program ID as 'jstart' under TP name in SMGW.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw74/helpdata/en/c2/91865252c84716b3b8be394851c9c0/frameset.htm
http://scn.sap.com/people/william.li/blog/2011/05/04/configuring-pi-730-java-idoc-adapter
After performing sender IDOC configuration in NWA, Created RFC (Program ID given as registered in NWA)with type T in ECC, SM59 but RFC connection throwing with ERROR: Error (Msg DGW 748 not found)
For the above issue REREAD/DE REGISTERED in SMGW
Please help on above topic. How to get exact PROGRAM ID as created in NWA.
Regards,
MFH
Hi MFH,
It looks like you have gateway security activated in your ECC system. Therefore the registration of the pgm is unsuccessful.
1) Access the transaction SMGW, menu Goto -> expert functions ->
external security -> reload;
2) De-register all the registrations of the involved program (in case
it's registered more than once);
3) Re-register the program.
The steps 2 and 3 are necessary because the already registered programs
will continue to use the old rules, and there is no way to refresh this
information besides de-registering/re-registering the program.

Note 1592493 - GW: Problems during reginfo configuration
Kind regards,
Mark

Hi,
The setup consists of 4 primary steps. Please check if these are configured properly:
1) Configuration -> Infrastructure -> Application Resources -> Resource Name (inboundRA), Resource Type (Resource Adapter) -> Properties ->ProgramID
and SAP Gateway sapgwXX should refer to PI instance number.
Check the value of "Local" is set to "true".
2) Create the destination from the below path
Configuration -> Infrastructure -> Destinations -> Create
This step should have the SAP ECC details and the ECC Sap Gateway sapgwYY
After creation do a "Ping Destination" to check the connectivity
3) Create the RFC destination of type T in SAP ECC.
This should hold the default programID and the Gateway Options should have the PI details.
4) The IDoc should use the Default (Recomended).
Thanks,
Sudhansu
Hi MFH,
The return code of the error is for sure related to gateway security.
Can you switch off temporarily parameter gw/acl_mode
You can do this via transaction RZ11 -> enter parameter gw/acl_mode -> change value to 0 and save.
This can be done dynamically, no restart is required.
Kind regards,
Mark
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your answer and it solves my problem.
Moving forward to next level facing some issues as per the below configuration.
Please suggest your valubel comments on above issue. Giving you points for the correcr answer.

Hi MFH,
Good to hear that the connection is being established now!
- To configure and operate Java IDoc processing on the sender business systems, you must have a user account with profile S_ENTWBC (No profile in ECC with S_ENTWBC)----???
I checked here on a ECC 6.0 system and the mentioned profile does exist. It's called "Basis developer profile". Are you sure you're checking at the profiles section in SU01 and not the roles?
- The sender business systems must be registered in the system landscape directory. (RFC error with - RFC call failed: Error when opening an RFC connection (CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPOCMINIT' : cmRc=20 thRc=2 )---???
Have you registered your system at the SLD via transaction RZ70? Where is this particular error coming from?
Kind regards,
Mark
Hi Mark,
1. Profile available - S_ENTWBC - DONE
2. YES. in RZ70 - Got it - SLD_UC default RFC and connection with 748 error, means gateway security, but we make current level to 0 again get in to big mesh
3. Again RFC created for IDOC also turns in to same 748 error but RZ11 current level in 0 -
Why this is happening again and again, Please share some idea.

MFH
Hi,
Can u try using the default programID from the path in ECC RFC setup:
Configuration -> Infrastructure -> Application Resources -> Resource Name (inboundRA), Resource Type (Resource Adapter) -> Properties ->ProgramID
and SAP Gateway sapgwXX should refer to PI instance number.
Thanks,
Sudhansu

Hi MF,
It doesn't exist SAP PI 7.4, i think you have a SAP PI 7.31, the 7.4 is about the SAP Netweaver Plattaform.
For the error that you mentioned you could check this thread http://scn.sap.com/message/14329887
