KOB5-KO88-Settlement amount>available amount

Dear CO experts,this is regarding partial settlements through KOB5.

User likes to do partial settlement for order 110062, it has following entries

Cost Element 671000 has 3 entries $2500, $2000, $1500

On KOB5, High-lighted these 3 lines and clicked on Final Settlement

Entered Receiver as FXA, entered valid fixed asset, and partial amount as 6000 dollars

went back to KOB5 and saved

When we ran KO88, received the error message saying that Settlement amount>available amount. It works okay if we enter $1500 as partial amount and run KO88 because it is the smallest of three lines. SAP is trying to settle 6000 for each line item, is there any other way to do this process? they don't want to select each line and settle because there could be 200 lines for a given order/cost element...They want to select all line items for this cost element and settle to a final asset.

I did not find a solution for partial settlement problem, SAP tries to allocate the flat amount that was entered on distribution rule group to each line item in KOB5, instead SAP should have split that flat amount as per the line item balance on KOB5 and assign full amount for the first line, remaining amount to 2nd line item and so on. Explained the same to Client and they are okay with that because using percentages works fine.

Hi Manoj,

First step Sort all the line items Cost element wise in KOB5 (Distribute Line Items ) Line item settlement rule.

Select ALL the line items you want to settle to Final Asset and create ONE Final settlement rule.
