ERP - SD lease process

Could you please tell me if you are aware of any SAP - lease process (ERP only ; not CRM)?

Scenario: customer order => material shipped to customer => we remain as owner of material => customer pays lease costs per usage

I am looking for some documentation / best-practices.

Dear Uwe Bader,

I think this can be best handled in SAP Real Estate Module (SAP ECC).

There is some thing called Lease Management in which you have lease in and Lease out Process. Where you can create the Lease out contract for Customer with material (Material has to be created as the rental object).

Scenario: customer order => material shipped to customer => we remain as owner of material => customer pays lease costs per usage

If at all we want to handle this scenario in SD then we can handle through billing plan suggested by Lakshmipathi through services material.
