Hi Juluis,

This problem is related to SAP note 1907526.

SAP has just released a new version of Content Server DLLs. (contservw_18-20008028.zip)

Those DLLs should resolve the problem.

I'm going to test and keep you informed.

HI ,

Take technical consultant help and check for

1)  Http://<; IP>:1090     it has to be display Contentserver dll

2)   http:\\<IP>:1090\ContentServer  enter     (display  same as above)

3)   http:\\<IP>:1090\ContentServer\ContentServer.dll?serverInfo

Just copy above URL with your hostname or IP.  Check HTTP script on OAC0.

If still getting issue Put 1090 port as open

Please update me .

chandu.

Hi Julius,

There is security Problem.  provide all permission to the users and content server file. Restart the services from IIS

Check  under IIS  system services  all are running are not .

Check Live cache drivers existed  under DATA Resources  drivers tab.

Inside of IIS services manager ,  select  local host and check for directory browser should be enable. do it for default, content server.

chandu.

Hi Chandu,

I have done some tests on my side.

Directory Browsing is working fine now. (I had to add the read permission in Handler Mappings and enable the directory browsing)

I have no error 403 with your different url.

problem is still there.

Hi,

Please check below link and download PDF

https://archiveany.zendesk.com/entries/20189108-SAP-Content-Server-Installation-Instructions-for-Win...

Check each and everything from 21st page to 26th page.

Run those commands and carefully observe result. As my guess you dont have SQLOD32.DLL  , SQLODEXT.DLL .  if so Copy ODBCAD32 file from C:\Windows\SysWOW64        to    < X: > sapdb\programs\pgm.

Restart the total system and run again those 3 commands carefully. All result should be ok.

Hi Julius.

I had a feedback from SAP support.

There is an issue with ContentStorage.Dll :

I think i could find the root cause of the issue. This was due to a

new security which was not enabled and yet the code was expecting

by default the security option to be on.

The official patch will be available in SMP in another 2 weeks of time.

hi,

i opened a, customer message and wait for feedback from sap support.

As i get further information, i will post the answer & solution for the problem.

info from oss-message ( zitat aus text - sap support 😞

The DBAnalyzer entries shows always the same picture that one user task

in this case the task 466 is waiting for another task 465 which should

release the lock of one table row:

* W3 Task 466 (appl. 4752) is waiting for lock 'row_exclusive' on table

DOCUMENTS0001 since 726s, locked 'row_exclusive' from task 465 (appl.

4752, state Command wait)

But the second task 465 is in the state "command wait". It is possible

that the task is waiting for commit. To be sure I have to check all

counter for this task during the report running time whether it is

really only waiting the whole time.

Hello,

You can try to use the ODBC driver 7.6 and test again.

The combination of ODBC 7.6 and MaxDB 7.7/7.8 is recommended and is supported for a long time. No need to worry.

You can refer the SAP note 698915 to get details about the ODBC Driver 7.6.

Also check the 'No signature' checkbox in Transaction OAC0.

David

Hello,

Exactly the same problem for me.

Did you find the solution ?

Former Member

Hi,

We encountered the exact same issue with the report. The suggestion to use the ODBC driver 7.6 seems not to work since you can't use SDBINST to update if your current version is 7.8. It says, you can't downgrade the current version.

Any other hints?

Hi,

I have opened a message to SAP support.

Still waiting a response.

The goal of this new installation is to have a Content Server with the most recent programs (Content Server DLLs, MAXDB).

It's a very strange behaviour if we have to downgrade ODBC driver to version 7.6.

With contservw_12 Patchset, I haven't this problem.
