Can we CIF third party sales order (SO) and purchase requisition (PReq) to SNP...?

Hello Experts,

We have created SO and PReq  with order type OR and item category TAN and they could be CIFed to APO SNP.

But when we create a SO with item category TAS and a purchase requisition, these are not CIFed to SNP.

We have ECC 6 EHP 3 and SCM 7.02

Could you please help?

Hi Omkar,

Earlier it was not possible to CIF TAS orders to APO. But now, it is possible after SCM 7 EHP2.

It requires couple of business function activation. We have just set up this scenario in APO last month.

I would suggest following steps:

A)

Bu     Business Functions to be activated

1)           SCM APO:      SCM_APO_DRS_PLAN

1)               ECC:           LOG_MM_OM_2

Th     There is some config involved at ECC side. Schedule line category needs to be created with "External capacity Planning" ticked.

in      APO , we get 21 planning strategy for third party orders with the activation of business functions.

1)    1)   Sales Order processing with TAS item category

       2)   Automatic creation third party purchase requisition (Blocked in ECC)

3)    3)  Blocked Purchase requisition CIFed to ECC

4)    4)  This purchase requisition creates demand at vendor location, this demand at vendor location consumes forecast at DC

5)    5)  CTM planning run generates supplies at vendor location (recommended constraint is Supplier capacity)

6)    6)   Third Party demand and supply comparison report is available to release the blocked TP purchase requisition back to ECC

7)    7)  Upon release of TP Purchase requisition to ECC, system will unblock the purchase requisition

😎    😎   Purchase order can be created referencing to TP purchase requisition

Please see the link for third part order planning.

Dear all

We have a similar requirement. Standard Third party purchase requisitions from ECC, should be visible in SNP and quantities/and dates should be changeable. Is this possible in release SCM 7.0?

Third party purhase reqs are created in a customer segment (hard pegged to the Third Party sales order). I always believed SNP cannot support this.

Hi Peter

The answer is yes, however you need SCM 7.0 Enhancement Pack 1 and ECC 6.0 Enhancement Pack 5. You then need to activate the business function Outsourced Manufacturing 2 (LOG_MM_OM_2)

This should then enable you to see and if the configuration is set, schedule Third Party Orders in APO.

Hello Datta,

APO wont be used for planning in such a scenario however the customer just wants to view such SOs/Preqs/POs while SNP planning is done for orders other than 3rd party orders.

Hi Omar,

Okay, even if you do not want to plan the third party orders in APO, transferring them will require to set up master data.

Please refer to thread below.

http://scn.sap.com/thread/1983854.

This is related to similar issue (if not exactly the same).

There is reference to OSS notes therein.

Hope this will help you.
