Restore a Schema under Different Name

Former Member

Hi HANA Experts,

I am using Business One version for HANA, Studio Service Pack SP5.

Can anyone guide how to restore Schema with  a different name in HANA Server using HANA Studio.

Scenario: I have a Schema "A" and I would want  to  backup and restore Schema "A" as Schema "B" without Schema "A" being replaced.

Thank you for your time.

Best Regards

Or you can use the EXPORT command to export the objects.

Then edit them in the command line to change the schema name.

Then IMPORT on the target system.

Hi Uma,

You cannot restore schema as different name for SP05, not support on SP05, but you can use import command to change schema to meet your request based on SP06 on HANA server side, does not support SAP HANA studio on SP06.

Hope this can help you.

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for your reply!

Can I understand like In HANA Studio it is still  not possible to restore the schema under different name in the version SPS06.

Please advise on the steps as how it can be done at the HANA Server level. Thank you
