Mobile device backup in Afaria

One of our employee lost his iOS mobile device and he doesn't have backup of his device on his computer. Using Afaria Admin console we wiped his device data. In Afaria, Is there any way we can restore his mobile device data into his new device?

What are the best practices to automatically Backup & Restore iOS, Android & window phone 8 devices using Afaria?

Hi,

As per my understanding Backup of device eg. ( Contacts , SMS,) is not available in IOS , Android , Windows 8 .

Best workaround u can try.

If u want to keep regular backup of some define folder ( Which might be having doc, xls ,jpeg) located on device  SDCARD or phone memory , you can try with session manager where u will schedule the daily copy of file and keeping data on server . by using Get file from client session manager event.

Note : The above backup can lead lots of problem in bandwidth copying such a big data and bringing on server . So it is not suggested , but u can try with the small size files and IMP files backup

Session Manager work only for Android , Window professional / standard /WIN32 client not applicable for IOS and Windows 8.
