ECC rescheduling compared to BOP when user is in the sales order

Hi All:

If the user is in the sales order and if BOP (Backorder Processing) job that is triggered from APO tries to update the sales order, the update will fail. Is this the same behavior with respect to ECC rescheduling. That is, if the we are running ECC rescheduling (V_V2 for example), and if the user is in the sales order, will the update fail similarly?

Thanks,

Satish

Since APO is being closed, how best we can use the BOP & GATP at ECC itself, Experts, your opinion please.,

Hi Satish,

The key difference between APO BOP and mass rescheduling in ECC is CIF Queues. In case of APO BOP, since the BOP update needs to be moved to source system ( ECC ) to update the transactional document, CIF queue flows back to the ECC system and it tries to update the Sales order using a standard FM "SD_SALES_DOCU_MAINTAIN". If the user in VA02 ( Change mode ), the update fails. I guess V_V2 ( mass rescheduling program ) also does the same process and it would not be able to update / complete the process if the user is blocking the sales order. It is rather a SAP concept than specific BOP or V_V2 behavior of handling such instances.
