Hello Daniel,

Was your step 4, connect diagnostic agent successful?

to check the connectivity of your host agent. go to step 4, connect diagnostic agent and click on agent admin.

if you donot find the agent in the connected agents tab, it means that your agent is offline, so check if the agent is in offline agents tab.

If it doesnot exist even there, it means that the agent is not connected to solman.

If it exists, then logon to your managed system server, in MMC check the status of the agent.

take the developer trace and paste to find the further root cause.

Nag.

Hi,

You need to restart the SAPHostAgent service and the Diagnostics Agent running on the host . So please do this on the manage system.

Check the below settings.

Open the SAP Host Agent profile which is by default available on file system level - depending on the OS - under:

  • /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/host_profile
  • "%ProgramFiles%"\SAP\hostctrl\exe\host_profile

Look-up the following line in this host_profile file:
service/porttypes = SAPHostControl ...

Add at the end of THAT line in the file the following value in order to activate the SAPOSCol Web Service (take care about the letter case): SAPOscol
Therefore the line would look like:
service/porttypes = SAPHostControl ... SAPOscol
Finally, save the file and restart the SAPHostAgent service. AND last but not least, also restart (reboot) the Diagnostics Agent(s) running on that physical host and / or the associated Logical host(s).

N.B.:

  • The SAPHostAgent could be restarted using the OS command "saphostexec -restart" (for Windows and UNIX based OS). On Windows alternatively you could restart the SAPHostExec service.
  • In case the SAP Host Agent 7.20 has at least SP level 88, you are able to double check that the SAPOSCol Web Service is effectively activated by calling the following URL (using a simple Web Browser on your PC), which should return an XML document:

           http://<SAP Host Agent hostname> :1128/SAPOscol/?wsdl

Thanks
