MTO scenario without production order- config required

Dear All,

Our client is not manufacturing any product, but bought out materials are bundled up and provided to customer. It’s like MTO costing which we require. The requirement is parent product will have Sales order BOM, all the cost of the components cost should be summed up and should be shown and parent product cost. Costing is similar to MTO Costing but without any Production order.

Please let us know what is the configuration required for this scenario in SD and CO etc, like requirement class and item category etc in detail.

hi santosh,

You can get this requirement in stranded SAP.

follow the below steps

1)Create BOM  for header material   Tcode CS01

Select bom usege (5)

2)Create sales order against header material level  tcode VA01

3) Create sales order through CS61.
