Focus on logon screen

Hello guys,

we released the new SAP GUI 7.30 in our company at the moment.

At our old GUI 7.20 the focus in the login mask was directly to the username.

After the installation the new focus is on the client field.

The users want to type in their username directly without changing the focus of the fields.

How can I change this behaviour?

Please help me. Thank you very much!

even this post is almost one year old....

We experienced the same behaviour and did not find a solution until we upgraded one of our systems to EHP7 based on NW 7.4 - there you again have the "normal" behaviour with the focus on the username...

I figured out something "new".

Facts:

Release: 730 Final Release

File Version: 7300.2.5.1084

Build: 1429747

Patch Level: 5

Our SAP system connections are prepared for using Single Sign-On and have an activated SNC-Name.

The focus is correct, when I deactivate the SNC-Name. But we need this name to use SSO.

This looks like a design limitation.

I tested with an old 7.10 gui and the result was the same.

In my patch 4,the focus is on the username field.

I also installed patch 5 and have the same result.

The focus is on the username.

Dear,

you need to change the parameter value via below steps.

RZ10

Select instance profile with Extended Maintenance

click on Change

login/system_client = client number (put the client and it will be came as default value on GUI)

save & restart the sap via sapmmc.

Unfortunately your suggestion is not for my problem.

I just want to change the focus of the fields. The login/system_client is already correct.

I made a new picture. Hope you understand my desire now. 🙂

Have you check the default option to restore the default options in saplogon gui?

for this. u need to create&save a shortcut with parameter. when user want to open sap then double click is required for this and sap will be opened.

You can

Client Field: set as default

Password field: disable 

Username field:
