disp+work.exe stopped

Hi all,

when i forming the client copy there was a sudden power failure.

after that i have restarted the SAP MMC when status of disp+work.exe showing stopped.

in dev_dp it is showing wp died.

i have cheked r3trans-d it is showing return code 0012.is there any DB issues?

please give me the solution

Hi Vinay,

for further analysis it would be helpfull to have the dev_wX tracefile of one of the workprocesses that is recognized as dying within the dev_disp tracefile.

GOTO ORACLE/ORA92/BIN and check for the file TNSLSNR.EXE may be it renamed to TNSLSNR.EXE~ so change it back to TNSLSNR.EXE and restart the whole process

Hi vinnu,

When you run 'R3trans -d' as <sid>adm, then there is a trans.log file created. Does this file contain additional error information?

when i run connect /as sysdba in command prompt it is showing oracle initialization or shutdown in progress.again it is asking enter user name:

why it is not connecting to SQL.

plz help me out.
