Hi All,
If there are multiple files in an upload directory, is there a way we can specify the order in which they should be imported using a scheduled task?
Or does the system pick the files based on the timestamps? I am currently designing the process around synchronized user imports from LDAP to SAP CLM and am wondering about possible conflicting updates (say a deletion before a creation as a wild example).
Also, has anyone used any well integrated user synchronization mechanism other than the basic file imports between SAP CLM and LDAP?
Appreciate any inputs.
Thanks & Regards,
Subhasini
Hi Subhasini,
I believe the order of import depends on the default sorting of files by the OS the app server is on. Adding the timestamp as part of the file name I think is a good way to ensure the import order. In fact, I think that’s the technique commonly used in the vendor and material replication via the standard ERP integration. There is nothing built-in in Sourcing that would allow you to control the import order.
Regards,
Vikram
