disp+work is displaying as Stopped But SAP is working fine

Hi All,

We have done a system copy and it came through the all the steps successfully. When we check the MMC it shows that disp+work.EXE is stopped. Also, when i check the ABAP WP Table, no item is show in this view.

But i am able to login to SAP and work. In SM50 it listing all the workprocess properly. I have updated the kernel to the latest too. But still the issue persist.

Any Ideas?

Dear Sudhakar,

Try to update your Kernel to latest patch level.

If possible try to provided dev logs from OS level.

Kernel 720 Release and patch 500 is the version updated now.

Hi Sudhakar,

Are your sure in SAP MMC disp+work is down and you are still able to login using SAPGUI. ??

I do not see any issue in the dev_wo logs.

Problem could be sapcpe step might have failed during startup and hence you might see status red in MMC.

You can check the sapcpe.log file for more details on this.

HI,

the sapMMC check the instance status using the sapstartsrv service of each individual instance.

Are you running the SAPMMC in the same host of the SAP system?

If you use the web MMC integrated in the sapstartsrv, is this working?

http://hostname:5<instance number>13/

you also can test the instance availability using:

sapcontrol -nr <instnace number> -function GetProcessList

Dear Sudhakar,

According to the logs ,it shows Security Session Management cannot be used (ABAP parts are missing, note 1477428).Is this the updated logs ? Is the problem occurring before you updated the Kernel
