Hi Abdul,

Even I also got same problem a week ago and I searched a lot to resolve this. But unfortunately I could not found any solution and even didn't find any notes.

I believe you also installed with old SOLMAN software (which comes with ST 710 patch level 0 and BASIS 720 patch level with 4) which doesn't contains CTS Plug-in and IGS . Finally I uninstalled and installed SOLMAN 7.1 with the new dump (this is not a good idea but I don't have another option) which comes with ST 710 patch level 4 which already consists CTS Plug-in.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Abdul,

You need to run /$sync transaction and re-execute the phase.

Also paste the logs of the error.

Once you have applied the add-on CTSPLUG , you will face issue while running any transaction.

Then you need to activate it.

hi Ashutosh and Billy,

For log,Please check my above reply which i sent to Billy Warring.

You need to run /$sync transaction and re-execute the phase. Also paste the logs of the error.

I have already executed /$sync command and try to continue the SAINT but same error.

what do you mean about re-execute the phase.

Please check above logs for for more detail...

Perhaps a long shot, but have you also updated tp and r3trans for the kernel?  The CTS plugin is picky about the version, typically post install but as you are jumping a few SPs on SolMan it may be something to test.

Here are the current versions on the service market:

7.21 kernel

tp version = 128

r3trans version = 132

7.20 kernel

tp version = 437

r3trans version = 510

Dear Billy,

I have already updated the Kernel and version is:

Kernel release    720

Compilation       NT 5.2 3790 S x86

Sup.Pkg lvl.      401

TP version:

This is tp version 380.04.07 (release 720, unicode enabled)

R3Trans Version

This is R3Trans version 6.23 (release 720 - 31.10.12 - 20:12:06).

unicode enabled version

--------------------

R3trans information

--------------------

kernel release                720

kernel make variant           720_REL

DBMS client library           OCI_10201_SHARE,

DBSL shared library version   720.00

compiled on                   NT 5.2 3790 S x86 MS VC++ 14.00 for NTAMD64

compiled for                  64 BIT

compilation mode              UNICODE

compile time                  Jan 16 2013 13:28:52

update level                  0

Now I have upgraded the TP and R3Trans but still facing same dump.

Please read carefully Note 1665940 - Installing/Updating SAP CTS Plug-In 2.0. You need to meet some prerequidites before CTS plug-in installation. Some of them:

- tp version 380.05.18 or higher (720 kernel)

- R3trans with a release date of 06.03.12 or later (720 kernel)

What is patch level of your SAP_BASIS component? What is SPAM version?

Pay attention to Known Errors section:

  • CTS Plug-In 2.0 SP00: If you encounter syntax errors in CTS functions, import the current SP version of the plug-in. If the current plug-in version is already imported, execute the activation program /CTSPLUG/CTS_ACTIVATION using transaction SA38. Note that the activation may take some time (about 30 minutes).

CL_CTS_TMS_CI_QA_HANDLER is part of SAPKB70207 package. Please check via SE80 if it present in your system and its status (active or not).

hi Roman,

thanks for you valuable reply.

TP: This is tp version 380.08.41 (release 720, unicode enabled)

R3Trans: This is r3trans version 6.24 (release 720 - 06.08.13 - 18:45:00 )

SPAM Version: 7.02/0050

SAP_BASIS: SAPKB70206 (CL_CTS_TMS_CI_QA_HANDLER does not exist)

If the current plug-in version is already imported, execute the activation program /CTSPLUG/CTS_ACTIVATION using transaction SA38.

System SOL not enabled for CTS Plugins. Check for component CTS_PLUG.

Is this dump will be eliminate after implement this plugin?

Most probably not. Are you trying to install CTS plugin only? Is your queue contains SPs for SAP_BASIS components? Try to do the following. In SE80 open TMSC program, include MSCU57 (where syntax error occured). In version management check source of this program and provide screenshot here.

Roman he is in the process of using a stack file for an upgrade to SolMan service packs; I believe that SP05 forces CTS to be installed.  Currently the system is not behaving normally due to having starting the upgrade and then something stopped the upgrade.

I am applying SPS08 on solman 7.1.

Please check the status of include MSCU57  in program TMSC.

hi roman,

During the SAINT, I have created this Transport Request and put the some Notes correction

is there any serious issue due to this TR.

Please be more specific what are corrections/notes this TR contains? More likely it is your issue. Also can you provide screenshot with error for FM TMS_CI_DIRECT_START_LOCAL_SERV (for type CL_CTS_TMS_CI_QA_HANDLER) as you did for LTMSCTOP?

hi Roman,

Please check the attached snapshots and TR and functions.

Is this TR contains any manual changes to source code or only note implementation changes? Where you initially created this TR? Without any additional investigation you need to install CTS plug-in without this TR.

former_member182034

TR does not contain any manual entry. these entries are the part of sap note.

Without any additional investigation you need to install CTS plug-in without this TR.

I have delete SPs via tp DELFROMBUFFER & tp DELSYNCMARKcommand and changed the status from ? to N.

Now I can start again the SAINT but when I try to load SPs or click on start  or run STMS then getting same dump ( Syntax error in program "SAPLTMSC ")

Now what do you suggest to eliminate this error?

I have a option of system restore. If you say then I did it and try as per instruction of Note 1665940 - Installing/Updating SAP CTS Plug-In 2.0.

ok man...but bundle of thanks for your support,

Please confirm me one more thing.

as I mentioned in above that I m applying SPS08 on solman 7.1 mean I have uncar all .SAR files and put into EPS/in folder. some SP were successfully applied but i got same error during SAPKB70206 or CTS Plug.

Please guide. now what I have to do mean first fulfill all prerequisites of CTS Plug and apply this add-on

and then apply remaining.

The problem in your case is transport request (more likely). I don't get answer where you created it. Also I can't find SAP notes (in that TR) that change code where you get syntax error. My suggestion: fulfill all required prerequisites for CTS plug-in installation (SPAM, tp, R3trans versions, for more check note) and after that implement all required SPs in one queue. I don't think you will face with problems. Please don't include this TR in queue until if you have requirements to do this (provide it here). Implement this note after update (if necessary).

It may also be useful to leverage the SUM tool for the upgrade vs SPAM/SAINT again, it may catch other pre-reqs to reach SP08.  With SUM also you point it directly at the stack file and as long as the uncar'ed/unsar'ed files are in the same directory as the stack file it will just load up everything.

Other thoughts do you currently have any open transports in the system after you restore?  I had an issue once that caused to DB restores and one very large transport release (as I used to just use 1 open transport request for everything...never again!).

It may also be a good idea to update your central note after the restore and see if you have other notes that could assist with the update of the system.

hi Billy,

I already have been tried to apply via SUM, please have a look at my this thread.

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3423146

now I have restored the system and right now It have attached SPs.

now I will try to apply CTS add as per instruction of this note.

Note 1665940 - Installing/Updating SAP CTS Plug-In 2.0.

what do you suggest me?

Regards,

I would place just the CTS+ SPs (I think 08 is the latest) in the EPS/in folder and only include files that CTS has pre-reqs...but I have a feeling that you may have numerous chained pre-reqs.

Perhaps upgrading 1 stack level at a time might be your best option?

hi billy,

As per  Note 1515926 - Update #1 to Security Note 1414256, when I am trying to save after insert the value then it is asking for request. Please check attached screenshot

now what I have to do mean create a new transport or add in local object because I was stuck on CTS plugin due to previous transport request.

Regards,

bxiv

If you create a local object you will never be able to transport the change out of the system, might take 4 years before it happens; which is fine depending on your environment.

Think about the templates for Tech Mon if create them as $TMP, you will have to re-create the templates vs being able to transport them to a new/different SolMan system.

If you choose to make a transport, flip over to SE09 and search all the open requests, find the open ones and hit F9 to release them.

former_member182034

as you knw that at this point, transport request is mandatory, So I am going to make a transport and after that I will release this transport.

wht do you say?

Sounds like something I currently do with any of the snotes that I put into Solution Manager.

Also at the moment I am taking part of TDMS10 & TDMS20 sessions, that my company paid for so I have to focus on the training for this week.

Hi Abdul,

Follow following SAP Note:

Note 1635605 - CLIENT HANGS ON INSERT INTO TABLE WITH SECUREFILE LOB

Step1 : Add Parameter _USE_ZERO_COPY_IO=FALSE to Oracle SPFile using brtools.

Step2: Restart instance.

Step3: Delete OCS queue.

Hi Abdul,

Below steps are mentioned for adding parameter and deleting OCS queue.

How to add parameter.

Edit p file (init<DBSID>.ora) and make sp file using p file.

Step 1) Open init<DBSID>.ora file in Notepad.

Step 2) Add parameter into that file. (e.g. _USE_ZERO_COPY_IO=FALSE).

Step 3) Save it.

Step 4) Shutdown Database.

Step 5) To create sp file using p file, execute following command in command prompt.

CREATE SPFILE FROM PFILE;

Step 6) Start Database.

And

How to reset OCS Queue.

Goto SE37

Type Function Module: OCS_RESET_QUEUE

Click on Test/Execute.

Enter, IV_TOOL: SAINT

          IV_FORCE: X.

Click on Execute.

Hope this helps you.

Please explain because there is nothing in sap note 1635605 which relates to this issue. while I am using Oracle 11g and getting this issue importing CTSPLUG via SAINT.

hi Billy,

If users encountered the error already in the XPRA step of the update they will also be able to install the correction in the XPRA step.

Before installing the assigned correction set the namespace /CTSPLUG/ to be modifiable.

I changed the value(Modifiable) of CTS Plugin in SE03 and when I downloaded this note, Its showing, Cannot be implemented.

There are showing below in lines in
