I have finished installing SAP NetWeaver 04 - SAP Web Application Server on Linux (testdrive version).
The installation was successful but when I try to start SAP startsap the
following messsage appears:
start profile not found.
(I ran startsap under user nw4adm )
any ideas ?
Thanks and regards,
Yuval Cohen Sharir
Try using "startsap nw4host",
that should solve the issue.

Hi
Check the permissions if it is correct.Give full rights i mean 777.The group user should be nw4adm and group sapsys.

Hi Yuval Cohen Sharir,
The note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/809477">809477</a> may help in this case.
If the note suggestions do not help, then confirm that if you perform the following steps there is still an issue with starting the system:
i. On the database host, enter: startdb
ii. On the central instance host, enter: startsap R3
Also if you use 'startsap DB' and then 'startsap R3' do you encounter the same problems?
Try installing the latest kernel stack as in note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/19466">19466</a> if all else fails.
Regards, Mark
