Budget Total Up

Hi Everyone,

I am facing an issue when I am doing budget release in CJ32. Say I have three WBS1, WBS2 & WBS4 at level 2, 3 & 4 respectively.

For WBS 4, I release budget of RS 1000 from current budget. So when I total up, at WBS 2 & WBS 3 also this 1000 value will appear.

But if I revaluate i.e at level 4 (WBS4) I give the amount as 0 RS and again I total up then at WBS 2 & WBS 3 still it is showing RS 1000, since it should show 0 RS.

Please suggest some solution as it is quite critical.

Hi Mahenda,

I have tested your case. I got 0 for WBS2 and WBS3.

What I suggest  is- to manually remove posting for WBS2 and WBS3 and Totel-Up + check and SAVE.

Hi Roshan,

I already tried that scenario, but logically i don't find that correct
Because when instead of 0 if I re-valuate with any other value(say 1 Rs) and total up, then system re-valuates for the upper level WBS elements also. But in case of complete revaluation(0 Rs), system is not updating.

Hi,

you can not do this in same transaction cj32 make changes in cj30 as 0 amount and save then check in cj32 transaction budget is there for releasing or not? if yes then changes accordingly system will allow for changes.

Suppose there are two wbs at 2nd level and you have budgeting at 2nd level then:

Total Up at 2nd level = (3rd + 4th WBS) = 100+100 = 200

Total Up at 2nd level = (3rd + 4th WBS) = 100+100 = 200

Total Up at 1st level = (2nd + 2nd WBS) = 200+200 = 400

in CJ32 transaction you can release 400 Rs.

Hi Sanjeev,

But till the budget is released in CJ32, one cannot make changes in the original budget. System while checking gives error of consistency. First one has to un-release the budget and then make changes in original budget.
